This website establishes a Gothic in Asia Association. The organisation centres Asian perspectives on Gothic studies, Gothic scholars and creatives based in Asia, Gothic works by Asian authors/creators, and understands the cultural influences and confluences of Gothic texts in and from Asia, as part of a global Gothic dialogue.
We are an interdisciplinary group that welcomes scholars, creatives and enthusiasts from diverse disciplines and sectors. We offer a nurturing environment for early career researchers, mentoring PhD students and postdoctoral fellows as they strive to disseminate their research and network internationally.
Given the international nature of the association and the far-reaching effects of the global pandemic, this website serves as an online space through which to connect people interested in Gothic in Asia, sharing and discussing relevant news, events and resources.
We will create opportunities for well-qualified individuals to take leading roles in the association, with a clear objective of ensuring diverse representation throughout its various activities.
