Fala Pratika is an Indonesian filmmaker and researcher with a background in philosophy from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Creation at the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ). Her research focuses on Indonesian horror cinema, feminist film theory, and the monstrous feminine, particularly in relation to gender, patriarchy, and state ideology during the New Order and post-authoritarian Indonesia. In her works, she explores how horror films represent women, negotiate gendered power relations, and reflect broader sociopolitical anxieties.
