Brontë Crawford

Brontë Crawford is a PhD researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council via the North West Consortium. Her project explores how contemporary East Asian authors use gothic modes of writing to explore food and consumption as an instrument of negotiating subjectivity in the shadow of colonial power. Her collaborative research into colonialism and commodity studies alongside Professor Gordon Walker has been published in the online journal Geography, and can also be viewed via the website of the Lancaster Black History Group.
