Dr Shabnam Ahsan completed her PhD at the University of Hertfordshire and is now a UK-based educator, writer, and researcher of literature, affiliated with the Open Graves, Open Minds (OGOM) research group. Her research examines nineteenth-century and contemporary retellings of South Asian fairytales in English, with a focus on postcolonial and diaspora identities, hybridity, and representations of otherness.
